Providence Community Housing fosters healthy, diverse and vibrant communities by developing, operating and advocating for affordable, mixed-income housing, supportive services and employment opportunities for individuals, families, seniors and people with special needs.

Our Community:  Providence Community Housing serves the greater Faubourg Lafitte redevelopment area which includes the Mid-City, Tremé, Tulane/ Gravier and 7th Ward neighborhoods.  Our community features active neighborhood organizations, family dining at restaurants such as Two Sisters, Dookie Chase, Lil Dizzy’s and Willie Mae’s Scotch House, and recreational space the future Lafitte Greenway.  Faubourg Lafitte is centrally located to all parts of the city via public transportation and has access to educational opportunities from pre-K through college.

Prices: Homes are priced from $90,000 to $180,000.


Providence will be able to provide subsidy to eligible families based on need and applicants are also encouraged to apply to City of New Orleans’ soft-second mortgage program which provides resources to help make homeownership more affordable

Income Restrictions:  

50% AMI minimum. Some opportunities may be restricted to first-time homebuyers.
